And the Twain (two) shall become one flesh Terry-Ann and Lenford “Glen” Young became one in December of 2002, one in mind, one in spirit and one in ministry. Husband and wife team of Gospel Music Ministries, La-Twain, seeks to use their songs and their lives to change the heart of man. Their name La-Twain is a manifestation of that unity. Their sound is an interesting mixture of reggae with Glen deejaying and Terry singing, showing their commitment to being one. This team finds that the versatility of their music opens them up to a wide audience, giving them the perfect opportunity to execute their main purpose to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. Neither ministers solo whether it’s on the stage or in their work with youths. Getting married without a ring was one of the challenges the couple had to face. “long after we got the ring and people were saying “I wouldn’t do that! Many people thought we were lying say’s Terry as she explained the experience feeling ostracized while ministering as a couple without rings. Terry maintained though that marriage is not about the material things but the extent of love and commitment each has for the other. Singing together since 2004 as Gospel Ministers and as Husband and Wife is a plus for both of them, which has given them an extra drive to bring forth God’s word. Terry says “it’s him leaning on me and me leaning on him, building each other.” Because each has a partner who is just as dedicated and focused and who is a constant source of support the urge to continue putting the message of Christ on the airwaves is forever building within them. Their ministry has taken them all over the Island on various Gospel Shows such like Crazy Praise, Fun In the Sun Cross over, Liberation, Vision (which was put on by them) Gospel Bash, the beginning of Testimony to name a few, they have also won the Juici Patties Mega Gospel Awards in the category of best Group/duo for the year 2009, and a Life Time Entertainment Awards Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding Service. Their Mini Album with Seven (7) tracks featuring songs like, Forgive Them, Can’t we Live Love, Mama Cry among others have been getting heavy rotations on radio stations like, Mega Jams 98Fm, Love 101, Roots Fm, Fame Fm and also doing well in England, USA and the Caribbean Islands.
